Kristen Ando, an educator and dedicated parent of a transgender child, shares her unique perspective on navigating the journey of gender expansive youth. This presentation aims to bridge the gap between parental experiences and educational practices by offering educators a nuanced understanding of the challenges and needs faced by gender expansive students.

Participants will gain valuable insights into:

- The personal and emotional experiences of a transgender child and their family.

- Practical strategies and considerations for supporting gender expansive students in the classroom.

- Key concepts from the Youth at Risk results and their implications for educational settings.

- The integration of non-gendered practices to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
