This session is designed BOTH for teachers interested in future roles in educational leadership and for teachers interested in serving in a leadership role without pursing administration. The session will engage teacher leaders in understanding how values drive decision-making, and use readings and exercises to teach educators strategies for mitigating bias and effecting systems-level change in collaboration with school and district leadership. Outcomes include articulation of individual values and leadership skills, identification of local equity-focused data sources and protocols to guide decision-making, and identification of opportunities for participating in systemic, equity-driven transformation efforts.
