This session takes a deeper dive into MTSS and considers key strategies to help support the
intervention process. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between tier one, tier
two, and tier three, and participants will explore ways to support the cognitive development of students who are either not meeting proficiency or who are already meeting proficiency.
Participants will:
1. Consider the how and why of Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three interventions.
2. Consider the role teacher-student relationships play in the intervention process.
3. Consider how team collaboration can foster differing interventions to support the cognitive development
of students.
4. Consider how we can extend learning of students who already meet proficiency.
